Job Title: Swimming Pool Installation Helper

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Swimming Pool Installation Helper to join our team at Pro West Pools & Construction (2014) Ltd.

Job Summary:

This is a permanent full-time position that requires the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. The successful candidate will assist our tradespersons and apprentices with pool installation tasks, including moving equipment and materials, holding stakes during surveying activities, and cleaning machines and work areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist tradespersons and apprentices with pool installation tasks
  • Move equipment and materials as required
  • Hold stakes during surveying activities
  • Clean machines and work areas
  • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees
  • Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees
  • Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees
  • Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster
  • Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition
  • Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees
  • Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Physical ability to lift and move equipment and materials
Work Environment:

This position requires the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including dusty and wet/damp environments.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours:

This is a 40-hour per week position.
