Job Summary

The Production Operator will be responsible for operating various pieces of equipment, completing batch processing, and operating Powered Industrial vehicles to support multiple production lines across several technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate various pieces of equipment, including filling, labeling, packaging, and palletizing equipment.
  • Complete batch processing and operate Powered Industrial vehicles to support multiple production lines.
  • Work as a member of a team, rotating job assignments and shifts as needed.
  • Ensure plant production is safely met, utilizing the most efficient means to result in high-quality products.
  • Train on, operate, and mechanically or systematically intervene with various types of low-tech and high-tech equipment.
  • Prepare complete and accurate systems records and adhere to standard processes.
  • Participate in problem-solving and loss teams, and lead and facilitate problem-solving activities.
  • Build technical capability to clean, inspect, and lubricate equipment, identify and fix abnormalities, and perform AM and PM work on equipment.
  • Move throughout various functions within the manufacturing environment, including production lines, material handling/warehouse, and processing.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of Safety, Health, and Environment principles and practices.
  • Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Availability to work all shifts, nights, afternoons, and continental shifts as required.
  • Proven ability to undertake tasks of substantial variety or complexity.
  • Demonstrated strength in problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility to work within teams and independently with minimal supervision to meet operational goals.
  • Proficient in the use and application of MS Office Suite Products.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical diploma or degree.
  • 1-3 years' experience in Manufacturing.
  • Experience within a Lean Manufacturing Environment.
  • Demonstrated ability in problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • GMP experience an asset.
