We are seeking a skilled Marble Mechanic to join our team at Grand River Granite LTD. As a Marble Mechanic, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with marble, as well as setting tiles in place and applying pressure to affix them to the base.
Work EnvironmentOur work environment is physically demanding, with a large workload and overtime required. You will be working with heavy loads, bending, crouching, and kneeling. You must be able to distinguish between colors and have excellent hand-eye coordination.
Responsibilities- Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with marble
- Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base
- Align and straighten tiles
- Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
- Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
- Install tile strips
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
- Basic security clearance
