Job Title: Marble Artisan

Grand River Granite LTD is seeking a skilled Marble Artisan to join our team. As a Marble Artisan, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with marble. You will also prepare rough plans and sketches, set tiles in place, and apply pressure to affix them to the base. Additionally, you will align and straighten tiles, cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools, and remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces to be covered with marble
  • Prepare rough plans and sketches
  • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base
  • Align and straighten tiles
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Basic security clearance
  • Ability to distinguish between colours
  • Attention to detail
  • Hand-eye co-ordination
  • Large workload
  • Overtime required
