Job Summary

Hatch is seeking a highly experienced Global Director to lead and drive Operational Readiness and Commissioning across our global regions. Reporting to the Managing Director of CORE, the successful candidate will lead teams of specialists and analysts to deliver expert services to senior executives for operational readiness, ramp-up, operational improvement support, and asset management.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement the strategic direction for Operational Readiness and Commissioning, refining the strategic road map and existing business plans to enhance our competitive edge.
  2. Lead the expansion of the Operational Readiness and Commissioning business into new markets, engaging with strategic stakeholders as needed.
  3. Remain abreast of industry trends and competitors to ensure our regional services align with market needs, constantly developing and reviewing client approaches.
  4. Manage and execute tailor-made operational services and transition to operation programs for clients to meet their economic objectives, using connected, high-performance tools and best practices.
  5. Work closely with client operation teams on operational readiness, commissioning, and ramp-up projects, assisting with project risk evaluations and management processes, leading start-up planning activities, holding workshops, assessments, and developing business philosophy and operational strategy.
Requirements
  1. A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or Business, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  2. 12+ years within a heavy industry environment such as mining, metals, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
  3. Demonstrated operational experience (in a supervisory capacity) in areas of Asset Management, Operations, or Maintenance.
  4. A strategic mindset, with excellent communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves.
  5. Highly collaborative, strong team orientation well-suited to building consensus in a global concern.
  6. Experience with project and team management.
  7. Excellent analytical and summarization skills.
  8. Strong ability to influence and negotiate with others to obtain the best results for the benefit of our clients' projects and organizations.
  9. Sensitivity to client needs and the ability to establish sustainable, open, and honest relationships.
  10. Willingness and ability to travel across the country and internationally for work.
