The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Sprinkler Repair Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Responding to service calls from our Service Resource Center to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions;
  • Contacting customers to assess equipment/system problems and provide solutions;
  • Performing repairs and maintenance on sprinkler systems, including wet steel, copper, and CPVC pipes, dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps;
  • Following prescribed troubleshooting procedures and referencing technical manuals to diagnose and repair equipment;
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals;
  • Providing excellent customer service by communicating effectively with district staff and customers to ensure complete satisfaction;
  • Completing Service Acknowledgements electronically with proper coding and obtaining customer signatures;
  • Participating in a scheduled on-call rotation;
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Sprinkler Fitter Red Seal certification;
  • BACKFLOW Certification;
  • At least 5 years of experience in the fire sprinkler/suppression industry;
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals;
  • A high school diploma or equivalent;
  • The ability to follow verbal and written instructions;
  • The capacity to perform physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.;
  • The ability to work in unusual positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet;
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements;
  • The ability to participate in an on-call rotation schedule;
  • Overnight travel will be required;
  • A strong commitment to customer service;
  • The ability to maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs;
  • The ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures;
  • Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly;
  • A valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company requirements;
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment background check;
  • Must be or willing to become a union member in good standing of Local UA 488.
