Logistics Supervisor Job Description

Petro-Canada gas station is seeking a skilled Logistics Supervisor to oversee the smooth operation of our supply chain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating activities with other work units or departments, preparing and submitting reports, and ensuring the efficient use of computer equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless operations
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis
  • Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Train workers in duties and policies, and arrange training for staff
  • Conduct performance reviews and co-ordinate, assign, and review work
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources
Supervision:

You will be responsible for supervising a team of 3-4 people, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.

Computer and Technology Knowledge:

You will be required to have a strong understanding of MS Outlook and other computer software relevant to the role.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

The role will require you to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and you will need to be able to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) on a regular basis.

Personal Suitability:

We are looking for a candidate with excellent oral and written communication skills, who is able to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment. You will need to be reliable, organized, and able to make sound judgements in a fast-paced environment.

This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week. The work language is English.
