Senior Java Engineering Manager for Mortgage Pricing Team

Luxoft is a global technology consulting and software development company that designs, develops, and implements innovative software systems for its clients. We're seeking an experienced Senior Java Engineering Manager to lead our Mortgage Pricing team.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum

About the Role

We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Engineering Manager to join our team in Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of 3 developers, including 1 Java and 2 Angular developers, to deliver transformation projects across Development/UAT and Production environments.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in large-scale Java development projects for financial services, as well as 1+ year of leadership experience. They should be able to work with virtual and in-person teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize tasks effectively.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Spring Boot, Kafka, SQL, Elastic Search or similar cache
  • GIT, CI/CD tools, Kubernetes, Docker
  • Agile development process

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with mortgages, bond trading, risk, or price capture systems

Languages:

English: B2 Upper Intermediate

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of 3 developers to deliver transformation projects
  • Developing new functionality in Java to meet assigned deliverables
  • Working within existing architecture, coding standards, and tool sets
  • Following agile processes and taking responsibility for delivery of tasks on schedule
