We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at MacDonell's Small Jobs Ltd. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare layouts and designs for building projects, using measuring tools and software.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create structures and fixtures.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fabricate and install cabinets, furniture, and other wood products.
- Maintain and repair existing structures and fixtures, including those in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Working at heights training and WHMIS Certificate.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in a fast-paced environment.
