Carpenter - Construction and Renovation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at MacDonell's Small Jobs Ltd. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to construction and renovation, including building foundations, installing floor beams, and erecting walls and roof systems.
Key Responsibilities- Construction and Renovation: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools, and measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
- Building and Maintenance: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems, and maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.
- Equipment and Machinery: Operate hand tools and other equipment as required.
- Work Environment: Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy, dusty, and outdoors environments.
- Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and experience in the field of employment.
- Certifications and Licenses: Working at heights training and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
- Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and working in a physically demanding environment.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, judgement, reliability, team player, values and ethics, and punctuality.
