Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Associate to join our team at Tlaonline. As a Litigation Associate, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of litigated matters independently with the mentorship of senior counsel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling all aspects of litigated matters independently with the mentorship of senior counsel;
  • Independently handling examinations for discovery, mediations, and chambers applications;
  • Supporting senior counsel on complex matters;
  • Practice and client management and contact;
  • Business development and professional profile enhancement;
  • Meeting billable and non-billable targets;
  • People/team leadership, mentorship, and management.

Requirements

  • Legally entitled to practice law in Canada;
  • Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario;
  • At least 2 years of civil litigation experience;
  • Excellent English oral and written skills and communication ability;
  • Strong organization and teamwork skills and professional communication skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and manage a busy practice alongside Legal Assistants and Paralegals.
