Nurse Practitioner

Lakeridge Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient-centered care, ensuring the well-being and safety of our patients.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes and provide exceptional care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to established standards and protocols.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to address complex patient needs and develop effective care plans.
- Assume a leadership role, mentoring and guiding colleagues to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Stay current with industry developments, best practices, and evidence-based guidelines to provide the highest level of care.
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and a valid B.C.L.S.
- Two years of recent experience in acute surgical care, including thoracic experience, PCA, Epidural management, central lines/TPN, chest tubes, and complex wound management.
- Proven ability to work effectively in emergency situations, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Ability to lift, turn, and transfer patients manually and with mechanical aids.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc.) degree or equivalent.

- Understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices.
The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between Lakeridge Health and the Ontario Nurses Association (RN Bargaining Unit Local 051).
Successful external applicants must provide a satisfactory Criminal Investigation Reference for the vulnerable sector, dated within the past six months.
