About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Thermal Design Engineer to join our team at Synopsys, Inc. in a role that will focus on developing advanced packaging solutions.

Job Summary:
  • Design and implement thermal management systems for cutting-edge multi-die designs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate thermal design into system architecture.
  • Develop expertise in industry-leading silicon design tools and CAD flows.
  • Contribute to technological innovation in multi-die packaging and thermal simulation.
The Ideal Candidate:

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in physical design and SOC development, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in thermal design and simulation.

You should be familiar with Synopsys EDA tools like 3DIC Compiler, IC Compiler II, or Fusion Compiler, and have experience with backend implementation, simulation, and sign-off.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of thermal models for complex multi-die designs.
  • Collaborate with customers and partners to understand their thermal design needs and requirements.
  • Provide end-to-end solutions from architecture and design partitioning to floorplan, route, and simulation of advanced packaging designs.
  • Drive the progress of the latest multi-die designs powering innovative GPUs and CPUs.
Requirements:
  • BSEE/MSEE in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in physical design and SOC development.
  • Knowledge of Synopsys EDA tools like 3DIC Compiler, IC Compiler II, or Fusion Compiler.
  • Experience with backend implementation, simulation, and sign-off, including EMIR, ESD, STA, and thermal simulation.
