About the Position:
This exciting opportunity requires a seasoned professional with expertise in energy regulation, leadership, and stakeholder engagement. As Chief Commissioner, you will be responsible for guiding our decision-making processes, ensuring they are fair, timely, and effective.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency, timeliness, and dependability of our adjudicative functions.
- Maintain a strong understanding of energy market developments, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and community groups.
- Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the organization.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in law, engineering, economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven leadership and decision-making skills, with a track record of success in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to navigate complex regulatory frameworks and technical evidence.
Location and Compensation: The successful candidate will work remotely, with occasional in-person meetings in Toronto. The estimated annual salary for this position is between $160,000 - $200,000 CAD, reflecting the significance of the role in Ontario's energy sector.
