Executive Underwriter, Management Liability Specialist

At AIG, we're reimagining the way we help customers manage risk. As an Executive Underwriter, you'll play a crucial role in transforming our operating model and reshaping our role responsibilities and career pathways.
Key Responsibilities:- Underwrite new and renewal business, implementing strategies to profitably grow our portfolio and maintain market leadership
- Develop and maintain key broker, client, and partner relationships to drive business growth
- Manage and service an existing renewal book of Public Company management liability insurance
- Pricing analysis using data analytics and modeling tools to inform underwriting decisions
- Collaborate with Sales and Distribution and other colleagues to achieve positive outcomes with both renewals and new business
- Develop and maintain broker and client relationships through in-person and virtual engagement
- Maintain profitability through strong critical thinking and decision making
- Drive change management by institutionalizing underwriting, service, and process improvements
- Fluency in both English and French (verbal and written) is essential, as a significant portion of underwriting handled by the employee will occur outside of Quebec
- Proven Management Liability underwriting experience (5+ years)
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments
- Proven ability to deliver difficult messages while influencing positive outcomes
- Organized, highly motivated, self-starter who takes responsibility for own performance and demonstrates leadership in their approach to work, training, and knowledge seeking
- Proven ability to work within a team framework, to provide a positive influence on others, and to support the team manager as required
- General understanding and awareness of people's behaviors, their complexities, and how to deal with them
- CFA/CIP/FCIP/CRM designation is considered an asset
