About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Regulatory Compliance Portfolio Manager to lead our team in delivering a portfolio of regulatory compliance projects in the Canadian banking sector.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all projects within the portfolio are aligned with regulatory requirements and business goals, while following governance from the Enterprise PMO.

You will work closely with Project Managers to define portfolio scope, objectives, and success metrics, ensuring continuous monitoring and reporting on project progress and regulatory adherence.

About the Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in delivery or project management, with a focus on regulatory projects in the Canadian banking sector.
  • Working knowledge of Canadian banking regulations, including OSFI, FCAC, and/or CDIC guidelines.
  • Proven experience managing teams of project managers and business analysts.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Experience managing large-scale portfolios with multiple regulatory projects.
  • Proficiency in waterfall and agile project management methodologies and tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus).

About the Day-to-Day

  • Lead and oversee the delivery of a portfolio of regulatory compliance projects in the Canadian banking sector.
  • Ensure that all projects within the portfolio are aligned with regulatory requirements and business goals, while following governance from the Enterprise PMO.
  • Work with Project Managers to define portfolio scope, objectives, and success metrics, ensuring continuous monitoring and reporting on project progress and regulatory adherence.
  • Report on the regulatory portfolio as needed by the Enterprise PMO.
  • Prioritize projects within the portfolio based on business needs and regulatory deadlines.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of project managers and business analysts responsible for executing the projects in the regulatory portfolio.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and foster career growth opportunities for team members.
  • Ensure that project managers and business analysts adhere to best practices in project management, business analysis, and regulatory compliance.
  • Create a collaborative and high-performing team culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.

About the Compensation

We offer a competitive annual salary plus a discretionary profit share opportunity.

Salary for this position will vary between $120,000 and $135,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience that the chosen candidate possesses.
