We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Traffic Parking Operations Coordinator to join our team at the City of Brampton. As a key member of our Public Works & Engineering department, you will play a crucial role in coordinating card access activities, occupancy studies, and statistical analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate card access activities for employees and public users, verifying applications and access agreements for completeness and accuracy.
- Coordinate occupancy studies and prepare statistical analysis and reports.
- Perform ongoing budget analysis and assist in the preparation of the annual parking budget.
- Participate in parking-related projects as required.
- Perform audit checks on garage and meter revenues.
- Review new technologies and make recommendations.
- Liaise with Community Services on maintenance and renovation activities.
- Make recommendations with respect to security and signing.
- Track damage to equipment, work in conjunction with Traffic Outside Services Coordinator and Municipal Parking Operations Supervisor to purchase replacement equipment and follow up to ensure payment is received.
- Respond to public inquiries and complaints.
- Perform additional similar and related duties as assigned.
- High School (Grade 12) graduation plus an additional program over one (1) up to two (2) years in Business – Accounting or Business Administration – Accounting or equivalent.
- Over one (1) up to and including two (2) years related experience.
- Valid, non-probationary Ontario class G driver's licence.
- Knowledge of the Highway Traffic Act, Ontario Traffic Manual, and City of Brampton by-laws.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Micro station, and previous parking operations experience preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Applicants who meet the educational requirements will be considered. Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of education. Various tests and/or exams may be administered as part of the selection criteria. Our recruitment process may be completed with video conference technology.
