We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiac Stepdown unit at Surrey Memorial Hospital.
About the RoleThis is a rewarding opportunity for a highly skilled and compassionate nurse to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced acute medical setting.
Responsibilities- Assess patients and develop individualized care plans, prioritizing their physical and emotional needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and effective discharge planning.
- Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and self-care strategies to empower them in managing their health.
- Utilize technical skills and therapeutic interventions to deliver high-quality patient care, addressing complex medical conditions and providing supportive comfort measures.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Completion of applicable post-graduate coursework or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a dynamic team, prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively

- A salary range of $93,000-$123,000 per year, commensurate with experience
