Job Title: Topographic Survey Technician

We are seeking a skilled Topographic Survey Technician to join our team at KB Civil Constructors Inc.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating survey instruments and devices, participating in field surveys, and supervising drafting and technical staff. They will also be required to keep survey information in systematic order, assist in the calculation, analysis, and computation of measurements obtained during field surveys, and prepare detailed drawings, charts, and plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate survey instruments and devices to measure distance, angles, elevations, and contours
  • Participate in field surveys and record measurements and other information obtained during field survey activities
  • Supervise drafting and technical staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of survey tasks
  • Keep survey information in systematic order and maintain accurate records
  • Assist in the calculation, analysis, and computation of measurements obtained during field surveys
  • Prepare detailed drawings, charts, and plans to present survey results
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • College/CEGEP education
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in survey software and equipment
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. They will also be required to work in a variety of weather conditions and be able to lift and carry survey equipment as needed.
