Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Topographic Survey Technician to join our team at KB Civil Constructors Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting field surveys, operating survey instruments, and analyzing data to produce accurate measurements and drawings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field surveys to collect data on land topography, using instruments such as total stations and GPS devices.
  • Operate survey equipment, including levels, theodolites, and data collectors, to measure distances, angles, and elevations.
  • Analyze data to produce accurate measurements and drawings, using software such as AutoCAD and ArcGIS.
  • Supervise and assist drafting and technical staff in the preparation of detailed drawings and plans.
  • Keep records and measurements in systematic order, and analyze data to identify trends and patterns.
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP diploma in a related field, such as surveying or geomatics.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in topographic surveying.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, and may be required to travel to remote locations. A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle are required.

Language

English is the primary language of communication in this role.
