Research Coordinator, Routinely Collected Data Specialist

Job Summary:

The BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS is seeking a highly skilled Research Coordinator, Routinely Collected Data to support documentation and descriptive examination activities related to using routinely collected data for research. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director, Epidemiology and Population Health Program to review and summarize published literature, perform data examinations, and create educational/training materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain documentation on the structure, validity, and quality of routinely collected data.
  • Collaborate with technical, research, and clinical staff to better understand routinely collected data and their use for research.
  • Conduct evaluation, exploration, documentation, and validation of routinely collected data to support research purposes.
  • Support research staff by reviewing study protocols and resultant abstracts/manuscripts.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Epidemiology or Population/Public Health supplemented by 1-2 years of recent related work experience.
  • Effective skills in communication (written, oral) of technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience working with routinely collected data, particularly in British Columbia or other Canadian regions.
