Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team at Bank of Montreal. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in investigating and identifying strategies to optimize business operations and services, and inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elicit business requirements and analyze feasibility to ensure solutions/initiatives achieve the expected business outcomes.
  • Support various project teams across the project lifecycle to ensure development is aligned with the business requirements.
  • Develop informative, coherent, and usable project documents (project artifacts) for multiple stakeholders covering functional and non-functional business requirements.
  • Apply depth of domain & functional expertise for the assigned portfolio to drive the expected business value.
  • Break down strategic problems, and analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Build test cases in order to validate business requirements and End-User Testing results.

Requirements

  • Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
  • Proficiency with Unix shell scripting and expertise with SQL preferably with Oracle.
  • Experience working in Capital Market or Financial industry.
  • Experience in Reporting frameworks like BIRT/Business Objects/Crystal reports or similar.
  • Experience with scheduling tools like autosys/control-m or equivalent.
  • Experience with FX cash or FX options.
  • Experience working with Murex/WallStreet or similar trading applications.
  • Ability to work in dynamic fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Business architecture frameworks.
  • Stakeholder Analysis and Management.
  • Digital Fluency.
