Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

AMK TRANSPORT LTD is seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Logistics: Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations as needed to ensure smooth transportation operations.
  • Cargo Handling: Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and storage to prevent damage or loss.
  • Administrative Tasks: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as perform other administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Willing to train and gain experience in long-haul trucking.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license (Class 1 or A) and any other required certifications.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
