We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Medicinal Chemist to join our dynamic team at Paraza Pharma Inc.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in modern medicinal chemistry and a proven track record of success in drug discovery programs.
Key Responsibilities- Establish project strategy with input from supervisor, design, execute and interpret complex laboratory experiments with broad priorities set by management or clients.
- Conceive and generate significant new ideas around synthetic or medicinal chemistry, providing creative and innovative approaches to resolve research problems.
- May be responsible for the leadership of a project, proposing plans, having a strategic view, actively managing communication with clients and maximizing team performance.
- Translate scientific findings into non-scientific language, as required, and prepare proposals and presentations for management/clients, including issue identification and resolution.
- Conceive and write technical reports and manuscripts, being a resource to colleagues within the function and ensuring that laboratory safety and generally-accepted lab practices are implemented.
- PhD in Organic/Synthetic/Medicinal Chemistry with 8 to 12 years of experience in a related field.
- M.Sc. in Organic/Synthetic/Medicinal Chemistry with 13 to 15 years of experience in a related field.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical field, recognized as an experienced leader with multidisciplinary understanding of the drug discovery process.
- Supervisory experience and good leadership skills, excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, strong use of MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and in French.
