Reporting to the Senior Director, Clinical Networks, Perioperative, this role works closely with the Perioperative Senior Medical Director and collaborates with the Perioperative Network, Zone Perioperative Leadership Teams, and Project Manager(s) on strategic initiatives to facilitate implementation projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expertise, leadership, consultation, and coordination of planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of Perioperative strategic initiatives and improvement projects.
- Develop and support initiatives/projects that advance achievement of Nova Scotia Government and Perioperative Network mandates.
- Facilitate staff involvement and provide ongoing support, mentorship, and coaching during implementation.
- Collaborate with Perioperative Network, Zone Perioperative leaders, and project teams to advance strategic initiatives and improvement projects.
- Undergraduate degree in a healthcare discipline.
- Master's degree in health administration, leadership, or business administration an asset.
- Certified Health Executive (CHE) and/or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) designation an asset.
- Project Management Certification (PMP) / experience an asset.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years' leadership experience within Perioperative Services.
- Experience in leading strategic initiatives and/or large-scale improvement projects.
- Experience in project management, program development, and program evaluation.
- Experience in leading teams of staff with indirect accountabilities to other operational units.
- Permanent, Full-Time (100%) Position.
- 75 hours bi-weekly.
- Eligible to participate in our work-from-home program.
- Travel to other sites required.
