About the Role

As a key member of the Mattamy Homes Canada leadership team, the Director, Financial Planning and Analysis will play a critical role in providing strategic financial guidance and support to drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial planning and analysis processes to inform business decisions and drive strategic growth
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to the Mattamy Asset Management Executive Committee and Board of Directors
  • Lead the annual financial planning process for Mattamy Homes Canada, working closely with business segments to develop high-quality plans and improve process efficiency
  • Analyze market data, industry reports, and other materials to inform benchmarking and industry analysis
  • Coach, mentor, and develop a team of five within the Mattamy Homes Canada Central Office FP&A team
  • Lead and/or provide support for ad hoc projects as necessary
Requirements
  • University degree with a focus in finance or accounting
  • Accounting/finance designation (minimum 8 years of experience in financial planning and forecasting, corporate finance, valuations, or similar role at a medium to large organization)
  • Experience with financial planning and forecasting tools such as OneStream or Hyperion (strong asset)
  • Experience accessing data from JD Edwards or comparable cross-industry ERP system (strongly preferred)
  • Excellent financial modeling and planning skills, with a track record and orientation towards continuous improvement
  • Strong customer focus with excellent relationship building and a collaborative working style
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current Canadian accounting standards under ASPE
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including PowerBI
