Maintenance Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Operations Supervisor. This role will be responsible for assisting with the identification and verification of required maintenance work, interpreting contracts, and ensuring that all aspects of the contract are coordinated and completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Compliance: Ensure that all services provided are in compliance with approved performance standards and contract requirements.
- Maintenance Scheduling: Assist with scheduling and coordinating maintenance work to be performed, ensuring that all necessary resources are allocated effectively.
- Performance Management: Develop and manage the performance of all patrol staff, ensuring that they are equipped to meet the demands of the role.
- Asset Management: Assist with managing, monitoring, and controlling highway project assets and materials, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Reporting and Administration: Complete paperwork and ensure compliance with contract requirements, as well as accurate and timely completion and entry of work reporting and timesheets.
- Supply Chain Management: Purchase supplies and maintain an inventory of all supplies within the assigned patrol area.
- Training and Development: Coordinate and track all required new hire training and ongoing required safety and work standard training.
- Fleet Management: Assist with inspection, calibration, and repair of fleet vehicles.
- Incident Reporting: Investigate and report all accidents and incidents, working with the Office Manager and Health and Safety Manager on all WSIB claims.
- Scheduling and Compliance: Responsible for completing and updating schedules for winter staff to ensure compliance with the Collective Agreement.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma (minimum), with equivalent work experience considered.
- Experience: Minimum three years' work experience in the construction and/or road maintenance industry (preferred).
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record (required).
Work Environment
The incumbent will split working time between office and field work, with occasional exposure to outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and sometimes high.
