Job Summary

The Facilities Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the Phoenix Society's facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. This is a full-time position that requires a high degree of initiative, flexibility, and adaptability.

Key Responsibilities

The Facilities Technician is responsible for:

  • Conducting and coordinating routine and non-routine maintenance activities for all Phoenix facilities.
  • Providing oversight to safety and efficiently performing work activities.
  • Handling various areas of business repair and aiding in the implementation of maintenance procedures.
  • Performing on-site work scoping and estimating for routine and non-routine maintenance activities.
  • Assisting in implementing improvements to facility performance and equipment maintenance strategies.
  • Responding to maintenance and repair requests, emergency or otherwise.
Working Conditions

The Facilities Technician will be required to:

  • Do work inside and outdoors, and engage in significant physical activity, including heavy lifting, climbing ladders and stairs, and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Work during evenings and weekends, and be on call, as needed.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the Facilities Technician should possess:

  • A high school diploma.
  • A Class 5 driver's license accompanied by a suitable driver's abstract.
  • First Aid Certification.
  • One year of experience in a similar role.
Skills and Knowledge

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, and database management.
  • Superior time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task.
  • A high energy level, positive attitude, willingness to learn and grow.
