Electrical Installation Specialist

At Powell, we're looking for a skilled Electrical Installation Specialist to join our team in Edmonton. As a key player in Switchgear and E-house Manufacturing and field servicing, this role will challenge you to solve complex electrical problems and contribute to the growth and development of our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install electrical parts, including relays, meters, and switches, in accordance with standard work instructions.
  • Perform wiring tasks, such as anchoring, tie-wrapping, routing, and wire tagging, to ensure high-quality electrical connections.
  • Crimp and strip wires and cables to meet industry standards.
  • Participate in safety meetings and promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
  • Ensure quality by following standard work instructions and identifying potential risks to product quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of hand, electric, air tools, and some vibrating tools.
  • Ability to read prints, including specification sheets, wiring diagrams, and part drawings.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • High School Diploma and 0-1 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Working Conditions:
  • Temperature-controlled manufacturing environment with occasional outside activities.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment at all times.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet using proper lift equipment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to maintain body equilibrium and agility to prevent falling.
  • Continuous standing, walking, and use of hand tools.
  • Ability to climb stairs frequently throughout the shift.
