Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Wiring Technician to join our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our Electrical Division, you will play a critical role in assisting the manufacturing process for various products and materials through electrical part installation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install electrical parts, including relays, meters, switches, and other components.
  • Perform wiring tasks, such as anchoring, tie-wrapping, routing, and wire tagging.
  • Crimp and strip wires and cables.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and participate in safety meetings.
  • Follow standard work processes and identify potential risks to product quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of hand, electric, air tools, and some vibrating tools.
  • Conscientious, thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing job tasks.
  • Ability to read prints, including specification sheets, wiring diagrams, schematics, and part drawings.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and adhere to manufacturing policies and practices.
  • Basic command of the English language, both written and verbal.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0-1 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic mathematical calculations skills.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.

Working Conditions

  • Safety-sensitive position in a temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment at all times.
  • Ability to work at heights and use ladders and scaffolding.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to maintain body equilibrium and agility.
  • Continuous standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
