Job Opportunity

The Caribou Guardians Coalition, a non-profit organization, is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead their initiatives in Northern Canada.

Estimated salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Position

This contract position is based in Yellowknife, NT, and requires 30 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will have leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
  • Experience working with northern Indigenous leaders and community members
  • Fiscal management, reporting, and accountability capabilities
  • Ability to speak to media and communicate effectively
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • Leadership experience and a proven track record of success
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and supervisory skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Knowledge of and experience with barren land caribou

The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a remote environment, have strong conflict resolution skills, and be able to prioritize tasks efficiently.
