About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Team Assistant. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide administrative support to our Care Coordinators, ensuring that patients receive prompt and effective customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support services to Care Coordinators, including processing new referrals and orders for services, supplies, and equipment.
  • Process and assist in managing confidential patient records, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Enter, update, and maintain a high volume of patient data in our electronic database, utilizing your keyboarding and data-entry skills.
  • Answer a high volume of telephone inquiries from patients, families, and service providers, providing timely and effective responses.
  • Provide back-up support to other positions as required, demonstrating your ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities.
Requirements
  • Fluency in Tamil, both verbal and written, is essential for this role.
  • A Grade 12 diploma (minimum) and 2+ years of related office experience are required.
  • Accurate keyboarding/data-entry skills, proficiency with database software, MS Word, and Excel, and excellent organizational skills are necessary.
  • Advanced multi-tasking skills, with the ability to meet performance and service goals, are essential.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and interact tactfully and sensitively with patients from diverse backgrounds, are required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong listening skills, are necessary.
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that includes days, evenings, and weekends to meet organizational needs is required.
