Job Summary:

Drake International is seeking a highly experienced Construction Site Superintendent to oversee construction projects, crews, and subcontractors. This is a full-time, permanent position located on-site in the Kingston and Napanee regions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with contract documents and prepare project layouts.
  • Plan, organize, and assign tasks to crews and subcontractors.
  • Lead by example, educate, coach, develop, and direct workers with clear instructions and feedback.
  • Monitor crew productivity and track work hours.
  • Check the quality of work against specifications and building codes.
  • Implement, manage, and monitor safety programs.
  • Manage, receive, and report materials on-site.
  • Oversee the storage, security, and maintenance of tools and manuals.
  • Proactively solve problems, draft RFIs, manage SIs and COs, as-builts, etc.
  • Perform other tasks as required.

Requirements:
  • At least 10 years of proven ICI construction management experience, which may include roles such as Assistant Site Superintendent, Senior Carpenter/Foreman, Site Superintendent, or Construction Project Manager.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OHSA regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and technical skills with a focus on teamwork.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
  • Clear criminal record.
  • Physical condition suitable for the demands of the role.
  • Certifications in WHMIS 2015, Working at Heights, and Supervisor Health & Safety Awareness.

Education:
  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:
  • 3 years of construction experience (preferred)
