Grozone Greenhouse Ltd. is seeking a skilled Greenhouse Worker to join our team. As a key member of our floriculture production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our plants.
Key Responsibilities- Mix and prepare soils to meet the specific needs of our plants.
- Plant bulbs and seeds in a controlled environment.
- Pot and re-pot plants to maintain optimal growth.
- Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings to promote healthy growth.
- Monitor plants for signs of insect or disease damage and report any issues to management.
- Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to maintain optimal moisture levels.
- Clean and maintain the work area to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
Our greenhouse is a fast-paced environment with a focus on producing high-quality plants. You will be working in a wet/damp environment with temperatures that can be hot. A non-smoking policy is in place to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
Requirements- No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
- Will train on the job.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Efficient interpersonal skills and reliability are essential for this role.
Experience with mechanical seeders is an asset.
Transportation/Travel InformationOwn transportation is required for this position. Travel expenses are not paid by the employer, and public transportation is not available.
