Grozone Greenhouse Ltd. is seeking a skilled Greenhouse Worker to join our team. As a Greenhouse Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and productivity of our plants, ensuring a high-quality crop.
Responsibilities:- Mix and prepare soils to meet the specific needs of our plants.
- Plant bulbs and seeds, and pot and re-pot plants as needed.
- Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings to ensure optimal growth.
- Monitor plants for signs of insect or disease damage and report any issues to management.
- Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to maintain a healthy environment.
- Clean the work area to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
- No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a willingness to learn and train is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
- Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination are necessary for this role.
- Reliability and efficient interpersonal skills are required to work effectively in a team environment.
The work site environment is wet/damp, hot, and non-smoking. Public transportation is not available, and travel expenses are not paid by the employer. The work term is seasonal, with 40-60 hours per week.
