Job Title: Assistant Manager, Hotel

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Hearthstone Inn Dartmouth. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our hotel runs smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Hotel Manager in the overall management of the hotel, including supervising staff, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent service to our guests.
  • Manage front desk operations, including checking in and out guests, handling guest complaints, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial reports, and ensure that the hotel is operating within budget.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Hotel Manager.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a hotel or hospitality management role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and management principles.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Work Environment:

The Assistant Manager will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, interacting with guests, staff, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and provide excellent customer service to our guests.
