Job Title: Licensed Plumber

At Bevertec, we are seeking a skilled Licensed Plumber to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, valves, fittings, and drainage systems in an industrial structure.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, and drainage systems in an industrial structure
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
  • Measure, cut, bend, and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Perform regular inspections of pipes and plumbing fixtures
  • Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used
  • Keep accurate inventory of required materials, ensuring stock of required material when needed
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Familiarity with the intricacies of working with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics and measurement conversion
  • Ensure that local and provincial safety regulations are met
  • Ensure that the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Health and Safety Systems are met
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of apprentice program with five years' experience
  • Licensed plumber
Work Environment:
  • Work indoors in a noisy environment with varying temperatures
  • Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as heavy lifting, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.
  • Work at height
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 50lbs
