Job Summary:

The School District #28 (Quesnel) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Elementary Music Teacher to join our team as a District Itinerant Music Teacher. This is a unique opportunity to work with students and staff across the district, providing music education and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide music education and support to students and staff across the district
  • Develop and implement music programs and curricula that meet the needs of students and align with district standards
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate music into the curriculum and enhance student learning
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Valid BC Teaching Certificate and membership in the BC Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch
  • Elementary Education with major/minor in music or equivalent experience and qualifications
  • Recent successful experience as an Elementary Music Teacher
  • Strong singing skills and training/skill in the Kodaly method and/or the Orff approach to music instruction
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff to achieve district goals and objectives

Benefits:
