ROLE OVERVIEW:
The District Itinerant Music Teacher will play a pivotal role in fostering musical education across elementary schools within the district. This position requires a dynamic individual who is passionate about music and dedicated to enhancing the musical experiences of students from Kindergarten through Grade 7.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop and implement engaging music curricula tailored to the diverse needs of students.
2. Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate music education into the overall learning experience.
3. Provide individual and group instruction in various musical disciplines, including vocal and instrumental training.
4. Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to ensure effective learning outcomes.
5. Organize and participate in school music events, performances, and festivals to showcase student talent.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will possess a valid BC Teaching Certificate and demonstrate a commitment to fostering a love for music in young learners. A background in music education and experience working with elementary-aged students will be advantageous. The successful applicant will be a proactive team player, ready to contribute to the vibrant musical community within School District #28 (Quesnel).
