Mission-Critical Server Software Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Server Engineer to join our team at Push Interactions, Inc. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining server software code mainly in Python and Django, as well as other platforms as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality server software code to power our mobile applications and build sophisticated, secure web applications for clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver backend services and contribute to the planning and estimation of projects.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide input on architecture for APIs, and assist in mentoring junior developers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in relevant server development technologies.

Requirements:

  • At least 3+ years of development experience with a strong focus on Python.
  • Ability to craft new API specifications and develop to provided specifications.
  • Drive to build and maintain quality software that is mission-critical to our clients.
  • Ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and work in an iterative agile development process.
  • Experience with Git and a willingness to stay current with industry advancements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Django experience.
  • Experience with Google App Engine.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks.
  • Familiarity with unit testing and test automation tools.
  • Experience developing web services and APIs for mobile apps to consume.
