About this Role:

Black & McDonald Limited is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Facilities Maintenance Professional to join our team in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for conducting routine property and site inspections, performing maintenance tasks, and ensuring the efficient operation of various sites in the GTA.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical capabilities in building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. A Building Environment System certificate or trade license is required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting routine property and site inspections to identify and address maintenance needs.
  • Performing preventive/demand maintenance tasks, including chemical treatment maintenance, filter changes, belt replacement, lubrications, and cleaning of utility rooms.
  • Inspecting, operating, maintaining, and repairing boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, pumps, generators, uninterruptible power supplies, life safety systems, and other related equipment.
  • Monitoring electrical power distribution systems, building automation systems, and responding to alarms expeditiously and methodically.
  • Performing minor repairs, including replacing washers/faucets, clearing sinks toilets and drains, replacing pumps/motors, and resetting breakers.
  • Educating customers on energy efficiency best practices and ensuring all equipment is operated safely and efficiently.

  • Ability to maintain continuous learning, customer focus, accountability, and teamwork.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

This is a full-time position requiring a valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract and ability to obtain necessary security clearance.

Please note that due to mandatory vaccination requirements at client projects/sites, candidates must be fully vaccinated prior to hire.
