Fire Investigation Specialist

Join our team of experts at -30- Forensic Engineering, a leading forensic firm in Canada, as an Intermediate Associate in Fire Investigations. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to contribute to our Fire and Electrical Team.
About the Role:The Intermediate Associate will work closely with our Practice Lead and other subject matter experts to investigate fires and explosions at commercial, industrial, and residential locations. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough investigations, including site examinations and testing of systems and equipment
- Collaborating with clients to provide updates and findings
- Developing and implementing testing and analysis protocols
- Participating in business development and promoting market growth opportunities
- Preparing technical reports and providing expert testimony in court
- Mentoring and coaching junior team members
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a fire investigator
- Additional certifications such as P.Eng, CFEI, CVFI, CFI, WETT, G1, LP, GPI
- Knowledge of regulatory codes and standards, including NFPA 921, 1033, and the Fire Code
- Excellent technical writing skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
