Fire Investigation Specialist

About the Role:The Intermediate Associate will report directly to the Practice Lead of the Fire and Electrical Team. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Investigating fire and explosions at commercial, industrial, and residential locations
- Collaborating with clients to provide updates throughout the investigation
- Developing testing and analysis protocols
- Participating in business development and promoting market growth opportunities
- Becoming technically independent on all aspects of technical investigations
- Performing site examinations and testing operations of systems and equipment
- Effectively communicating investigation and analysis findings to clients and others
- Reviewing plans and specifications to determine compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations
- Preparing technical reports and managing projects according to client-approved scopes of work
- Mentoring and coaching junior team members
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of years' experience working as a fire investigator
- Additional certifications such as CFEI, CVFI, CFI, WETT, G, LP, GPI
- Knowledge of regulatory codes and standards such as NFPA,, and the Fire Code
- Exposure to engineering or science in a consulting environment
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients
