Fire Investigation Specialist

At 30 Forensic Engineering, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Intermediate Associate to join our Fire and Electrical Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting fire and explosion investigations, collaborating with clients, and preparing engineering reports and findings.
Key Responsibilities:- Investigate fire and explosions at commercial, industrial, and residential locations
- Directly liaise with clients on a regular basis and provide updates throughout the investigation
- Develop and implement testing and analysis protocols
- Participate in business development and promote market growth opportunities
- Perform site examinations, test operation of systems and equipment, and communicate findings to clients
- Review plans and specifications to ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations
- Prepare technical reports and manage projects according to client-approved scopes of work
- Mentor and coach junior team members and participate in performance management
- A minimum of years' experience working as a fire investigator
- Additional certifications such as CFEI, CVFI, CFI, WETT, G, LP, GPI
- Knowledge of regulatory codes and standards such as NFPA,, and the Fire Code
- Exposure to engineering or science in a consulting environment preferred
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
- Excellent technical writing skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to manage projects and prioritize tasks
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated and ability to self-manage
- Capacity for learning and ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to communicate effectively and proficient in learning new computer applications
