Job Summary:

As a Boat Sales Outfitter at Bass Pro Shops, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and sales support to our boat and ATV customers. Your primary goal will be to assist customers in making informed buying decisions by providing them with the necessary information and resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Engage all customers entering the department in a friendly and timely manner.
  • Meet with potential customers to determine their boating and/or ATV needs.
  • Provide information necessary to allow the customer to make an informed buying decision.
  • Maintain current product knowledge by using available resources, product brochures, internet, and product information training meetings.
  • Maintain awareness of advertised items, current pricing structures, and promotions.
  • Remain current on and adhere to all selling skills training and direction.
  • Work cooperatively with the Service Department to ensure seamless delivery to the customer.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality of all sensitive and personal information.
  • Prepare the showroom each morning to ensure proper signage is in place per established presentation standards and all products are clean, presentable, and in sellable condition.
  • Generate and manage leads and prospects in the provided Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool on a daily basis.
  • Participate in special events such as Boat Shows, Parking Lot events, etc.
  • Accurately complete all necessary paperwork required within the selling process.
  • Meet and exceed pre-determined individual monthly sales goals.

Qualifications:
  • High School education or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and percentages.
  • Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other associates.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers, and customers.
  • Ability to operate computer systems and Point of Sale register systems.
