We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Director, Financial Planning & Analysis to join our team at MCAP, Canada's largest independent Mortgage Finance company.

As a key member of our Finance department, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our Finance business unit. This includes working closely with our Senior Finance leadership team to facilitate appropriate strategic decisions and evaluation of performance both at a business unit and company level.

You will be the leader of our Financial Planning and Analysis function, responsible for developing and implementing financial models, forecasts, and budgets. You will also manage and operate on MCAP's management reporting P&L database, ensuring accurate and timely financial information and analysis for the entire MCAP group of companies.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. They will also possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and develop staff.

About the Role:

  • Provide overall leadership and direction to the Finance business unit.
  • Work closely with the Senior Finance leadership team to facilitate strategic decisions and evaluate performance.
  • Develop and implement financial models, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Manage and operate on MCAP's management reporting P&L database.
  • Liaise with corporate departments such as HR and IT to oversee completion of corporate cost budgets and monitor ongoing budget to actuals results.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in accounting and finance, including financial planning and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP.
  • Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
