Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our culinary team at Lone Star Texas Grill. As a key member of our kitchen leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety, and providing coaching and training to our culinary staff.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Kitchen Manager to develop and implement kitchen strategies and initiatives.
- Lead the culinary team in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to oversee the preparation and cooking of our award-winning menu items, including sizzling fajitas, classic Tex-Mex dishes, and AAA steaks.
- Provide guidance and support to line cooks, prep cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process to identify top talent for our culinary team.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure clear understanding of shift priorities and responsibilities.
- Embody exceptional leadership skills, upholding our core values of People, Empowerment, Results, and Coaching.
Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a kitchen leadership role.
- Standard First Aid and Food Handlers certification, or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to lift items up to 30lbs and remain physically active throughout the shift.
