Niijaansinaanik Child and Family Services is a culture-based organization that provides holistic services to children, youth, and families. We are seeking a skilled Prevention Services Worker to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prevention services support to children, youth, and families at risk
  • Participate in case planning and wrap-around service delivery
  • Function as a member of the Circle of Care supporting children, youth, and families
Requirements
  • Child & Youth Worker or Social Services Diploma
  • Two (2) years of direct experience in a Social Services Agency
  • Respect for, sensitivity towards, and knowledge of Anishinabek culture, traditions, and the Seven Grandfather Teachings
  • Basic knowledge of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act
  • Knowledge of First Nation service delivery, customs, and traditions in responding to child welfare
  • Knowledge of traditional practices, ceremonies, and teachings
  • Knowledge of Niijaansinaanik Child and Family Services programs and services
