Job Title: Maintenance Person

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Person to join our team at Executive Residency by Best Western. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel and resort.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors and stairs.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and dirt.
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances.
  • Perform safety and security checks.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
  • Coordinate, assign, and review work.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility, initiative, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights.
  • Basic security clearance.
