Job Title: Maintenance Worker, Grounds

Empire City Landscape and Maintenance is seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker, Grounds to join our team. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a well-manicured appearance.
  • Cut grass and maintain lawn areas to ensure a neat and tidy appearance.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to ensure efficient and effective maintenance.
  • Spread sand or salt on sidewalks for snow or ice control.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
Work Environment:

As a Maintenance Worker, Grounds, you will be working outdoors in various locations, including landscape maintenance areas. You will be exposed to wet/damp and cold/refrigerated environments.

Requirements:
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Will train on the job.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are essential.
Language:

The primary language of work is English or French.

Work Schedule:

30 to 40 hours per week.
